ButcherAtlas is a free directory of independent butcher shops and meat markets in the United States. We list local shops with addresses and phone numbers so you can buy better meat from people who know exactly where it came from.

Where the data comes from

Listings are compiled from open geodata — the Overture Maps Foundation places dataset (CDLA-Permissive 2.0), which includes Foursquare OS Places (Apache 2.0), and OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL) — then filtered and categorized by us. Details change: always confirm hours and offers by phone before visiting.
